Applying Your Composite Mold Sealer

Applying Granudan Sealer GP is truly straightforward. First, simply soak a clean, soft cotton cloth. Use Sealer GP generously on the cloth. Next, apply it gently to a small area. Aim for about 50 x 50 cm. Importantly, avoid rubbing hard. This ensures an even initial coat.

While the surface remains wet, quickly wipe off all excess. Use a new, clean cloth. Continue wiping until the surface feels completely dry. After that, move to the next section. Repeat this easy method until the entire mold is processed. Allow at least 15 minutes for curing between coats. This step is absolutely essential.

The number of layers depends directly on your mold surface quality. For instance, apply three layers on metal. Use four layers on polyester, gelcoat, and epoxy. Finally, after the very last layer, wait a crucial 30 minutes. Then your mold is ready for a release agent. Before starting, always ensure the mold is perfectly clean. This guarantees the best adhesion and optimal results.
