ZYVAX Flex-Z 4.0 medium high slip release agent is the most versatile option in the Flex-Z series. Often called the “workhorse”, it delivers reliable performance across a wide range of molds. When users are unsure which slip level to select, Flex-Z 4.0 is the recommended starting point.

Adjustable Slip System

The Flex-Z system offers four levels of slip control:

• Flex-Z 1.0: Minimum slip – prevents pre-release and supports tape adhesion

• Flex-Z 3.0: Medium slip – ideal for large molds and flat surfaces

• Flex-Z 4.0: Medium/high slip – the universal workhorse choice

• Flex-Z 6.0: Extra high slip – for difficult demolding and vertical surfaces

Manufacturers can flex up or down depending on mold complexity, since the top coat defines the final slip level. For best results, apply two layers of Granudan Sealer GP before starting with Flex-Z.

Fast Application and Easy Use

Flex-Z 4.0 features short curing times between coats, which speeds up mold preparation. The product should be applied directly and not wiped off. In addition, it can be sprayed using HVLP spray systems to ensure fast and even application.

Additional Cleaning Function

Besides serving as a release agent, Flex-Z products also act as efficient cleaners. They remove dirt, dust, residues, and fillers from molds after demolding, keeping molds in optimal condition.
